Can I buy a real estate in Hungary as a private person or as a company too?

Yes, you can, as both variant is possible. If buy a company, which has a real estate on his own too, then you do not have to pay VAT. Your company, which has been registered in Hungary can buy a real estate, but you have the possibility to do it as a private person too.

 

Do I need a separate permission if I purchase a real estate as a foreign person?

Yes, you do, as a non European citizen, you will need the permission of the Government Office for the purchase of the property, which is set by the lawyer through the process of the purchase in advance.
